If this were tested, would it more palatable to you? Or do you think it just flat out doesn't belong?

I think it's left over from hedge. It doesn't seem like it would be useful for leap.

It is left over from Hedge. At the same time, it is the widget that makes the time step diagrams that you may have seen, and I think it retains usefulness for that. It's certainly broken (for hedge imports and whatnot), so I'm not arguing that it should stay now. I guess all I'm saying is that I'd like the functionality to stick around. Let's call it #49 (closed). :)
