Maxima expressions need to terminate with $'s, not ;'s

@cory Could you try and keep apart the work that you're intending to be merged back into leap master from the work you're just using for your own experimentation? (For example, I'm not certain about the license of Nek's code, and it does not have a copyright/license statement, and I'm not sure I'm even allowed to distribute it.) You can easily just create a new repo. (Just click the "+" on the top right. Ideally start fresh--don't use your existing leap checkout.)
