Adaptive RK test wasn't writing to stderr, causing test to pass even when it fails

According to https://gitlab.tiker.net/inducer/leap/branches, your branch is 130 commits behind master--and it fails its unit tests. If you merge with current master, I think you'll solve both of those problems.

Yeah, sorry about this message - this was the commit I created a new branch from, so I could avoid pulling in all of the step matrix stuff we don't want. I've merged with Master now, so everything should be fine.
